Dokkemand is the alias of Marius Grotterud Egenes, a Norwegian musician of destructive proportions. Also a prominent remixer, Marius has been leaving laptops in stitches as Dokkemand since early 2005. Walking the line between calculated restraint and frenzied, arcade-tronic attacks, his output reveals much about the importance of tension in composition. Broken-hip-hop beat collages accompanied by an orchestra of disheveled music boxes, somber, glitch-laden balladry, and minimal, warped ambience are all fair in this game.
